I have trouble keeping track of it all, maybe I will create a separate MS blog so I can track symptoms for my appointments.
I love this picture that came through from Stonyfield yogurt, it is so true and so simple.
The general public is being treated as guinea pigs. Rebif changed the design of their auto injector. They had to spend millions on trial to prove its efficacy before they could sell it, and this is just the tool, not the drug. Do you Monsanto is testing his genetic modifications for years? I don't know either, but I have an idea what th answer would be.
People have asked me how I eat, and how expensive it is. Well I don't know what you are looking for. Unless you eat your vegetables straight from the ground there is work involved, instead of watching Dancing with the stars, Honey Boo boo, or the Housewives of Pennellville get off your tuchus and get in the kitchen and prep!
So I tell them, I eat food, I do not eat from a box, I do not eat from a can, I do not eat from a bag. Frozen vegetables are a great alternative unless they are adulterated make sure the ingredient list contains just the vegetable. I did not include jar/bottles. What are acceptable jars or bottles? Milk (if you decide to drink it, get it from a farm, you do not want to know what else besides milk is in your milk) preferably raw. Herbs and spices, well sometimes these do come in bags too. Raw honey, it would be very messy if not contained. Nut butters, organic and nothing not from nature on the label. That is all I use, there may be more, but they should be unadulterated, canning, pickling that is fine if done without chemicals beyond vinegar. Oh your vinegar and oil comes in a jar too, stick to olive, coconut, nut oils.
Can you occasionally eat inside the box? Yeah, I bought a carton of ice cream, I am sure it was all sorts of nasty, but I couldn't go far because we were trying to trap Leo and I felt I deserved a treat as my family was enjoying the fair festivities. This is fine, these are convenience and comfort foods, most manufacturers when they first started producing this stuff probably did not think people would make this their daily bread.
Do you eat out? Occasionally. It should be a treat not a way of life. Be careful where and what you eat. I would recommend staying away from ANY nationwide chain. They are nationwide, do you think that chicken you just ate has not been pre adulterated and shipping hundreds if not thousands of miles. Don't fool yourself thinking the grilled chicken breast is healthy. That breast was soaked in a salt/sugar/who knows what bath, or injected with stuff. Why? because it would be nasty and dry as snot and you wouldn't be starving enough after eating it to order dessert. They want you to order dessert, believe me. You can buy that whole pie for $5 yet they sell you a slice for that. Same reason they push soda, really, really, are you really going to drink 2 liters worth of soda? that's how much you paid for that glass and the soda is killing you, you are not reading my blog and still drinking that crap are you?
Stick to local, local is better for your economy in waves. The owner is from around here, the workers are from around here, his profits are spent and taxed here, they are most likely buying from a local wholesaler who is getting his food from hopefully local sources. If you are concerned ask before you make that place a regular hangout.
The "poor" complain that fast food is cheaper than real food. That is a lie. Even GMO and pesticide covered fruits and veggies are better than a meal at a fast food chain. Then people say oh but their tie costs money. Prep ahead! If you are poor and you work 7 days a week at 3 jobs then you are doing something really wrong. It only take 15 minutes to whip up a chicken stir fry which will feed many people and cost less than 10 bucks.
Smile Daily!
(it makes others wonder what you've been up to:D)
