So I order from the Chinese/Filipino/Thai place down the road (Nothing like covering all bases here)
Actually really good. I had pumpkin, black mushroom and tofu.
Sad part is they took all their menus and scribbled out the no MSG symbol on it. I mean WTHIGOH!!!!
So do I go back? Should I just assume it is in EVERYTHING?!?
Ugh.
It was actually really good. Sad part is i went with a vegetarian meal, even with the "make it a meal" option which added a egg roll, wonton and soup.... and they gave me pork fried rice :D See, even when i try being good..
The good news is there is another Chinese place about a mile down the road to try, the one half way in between is shuttered up.
The place on the other side of town is phenomenal too, they are no MSG, low salt and use vegetable oil. Not sure what other oil they would use at that high of heat.
They make a chow fun that is so silky and gnomalicious!
The good news form tonight is it cost a bit but I couldnt finish so it will give me something to eat tomorrow since I need groceries.
Not sure if i shop local or cut across town from work and hit El Super and then head south to the house. Such dilemmas.
I managed to unpack and wash all the kitchen stuff I packed after having unpacked it from packing it up at the apartment and transferring it... whew
After groceries and possibly cooking I need to play with the washing machine. I have dirty clothes and then I have clothes that laid around in bboxes at the apartment tht need to be washed so they can get put away.
Only hit the 50s today and drizzled all day.
There was snow at mt charleston yesterday so the people flocked to it to make snow balls and try to make snowmen.
Well time for bed, I havent been sleeping well, that is what sleeping on an air mattress for 3 months will buy you.
Plus this time change thing, it sucks... If I can believe our city manager (sometimes you just cannot believe anything he says :P) the good news is Nevada is looking to abolish it like Arizona.
Took me an hour to go 26 miles yesterday. People need to really take a break, maybe we do need to legalize marijuana everywhere. It is not just here, I saw it in CNY , and Kristin will see it in every state between NY and NV. In one drive I saw a car completely demolished as it was hit trying to turn right when there was oncoming traffic, a short asian woman that could barely see over her steering wheel driving on the wrong side of the divided road, three lane cross overs to make a right hand turn, people on phones, people that would swerve around lanes to get ahead when there is a red light in front of them that they need to slam on their brakes for, people running the yellow which blocks the intersection for the other direction, then there were my personal attacks: Honked at the instant the light turns green, my foot was off the brake but after the honk it took a while to find the gas pedal; and the honking because we are approaching a red light so i take my foot off the brake and coast to slow down before braking, OMG there was a two car gap that pulled in front of me I should have accelerated until i was up the bumper in front of me so i could slam on my brakes. I tell you I LOVE people, cannot wait until google is driving all the vehicles so these sell centered people can better spend their time taking selfies for tinder. Road debris for today? One of those big coolers, and it wasn't even the highway!
Peace out, love each other, take a deep breathe and...
Live for today.
